Elizabeth Rose was born from a moment I didn’t expect — a moment that reminded me of the woman I had quietly set aside.
I had traveled back to my hometown for a close friend’s wedding, reconnecting with old high school friends and spending time with family. It was the first time I’d taken a trip without my kids, and for once, I wasn’t carrying the constant hum of worry. My husband was home with them, and for the first time in years, I could simply be.
I missed them deeply — but I also felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I had the time to do my hair. To get dressed slowly.
